In an unfortunate incident on 19th October, an IED blast rocked the General Area Kodliar in Narayanpur district, Chhattisgarh, at approximately 11:45 hrs, during the ongoing joint operations in Dhurbeda. A courageous team of 53 Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel, led by Assistant Commandant (GD) Dharam Raj, was actively engaged in ensuring the nation’s security when the blast occurred.
Despite being critically injured, two gallant ITBP jawans, CT/GD Pawar Amar Shamrao and CT/GD K Rajesh, fought valiantly but tragically succumbed to their injuries. Their supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation epitomizes their indomitable spirit and unwavering dedication to duty.
The entire ITBP family mourns the loss of these brave hearts and stands in solidarity with their families in this hour of grief. Their unmatched bravery and ultimate sacrifice shall forever remain etched in the nation’s memory as a testament to their heroism and dedication.
Their valour will continue to inspire the Force and the nation, ensuring that their legacy lives on as a beacon of courage, sacrifice, and service.
