1. Air India – Boeing
Air India, India’s leading global airline with an Indian heart which is taking big, bold steps to not only build an airline that India deserves, but also building the Indian aviation ecosystem. You can see the brand new B787-9 right outside.
Today Air India is announcing that it has ordered 30 more fuel-efficient narrowbody jets from Boeing, expanding its total aircraft order to 600 aircraft.
In addition to this, Air India has also signed a multi-year agreement with Boeing Global Services for its Component Services Program, encompassing the airline’s entire Boeing 787 fleet, both existing aircraft and those on order.
2. Air India – Airbus
Air India and Airbus have signed a contract whereby, Airbus will convert 15 A321neo aircraft ordered by Air India to the advanced Airbus A321 XLR, which is the Extra Long Range variant of the A320 family. These fuel efficient aircraft will enable Air India to open new non-stop international routes, benefitting passengers from India and those wanting to travel to India and beyond. 3. Sakthi Group and Omnipol MoU exchange
Sakthi Group and Omnipol are pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding to bring the globally proven L410 NG 19-seater aircraft to India, including the assessment of modalities for setting up a final assembly line in the country.
4. PHL – HAL
A proud and significant milestone for the Indian civil aviation industry as we are delighted to announce that HAL has successfully executed a contract with Pawan Hans for the supply of 10 Dhruv Next Generation (NG) helicopters, an achievement that heralds a new chapter in the growth and evolution of the Indian helicopter industry.
By demonstrating confidence in indigenous platforms for critical civil aviation roles, the partnership between HAL and Pawan Hans sets a strong precedent and paves the way for expanded acceptance of Indian-built helicopters both at home and internationally.
This marks a proud moment for two CPSEs of the Government of India, with the agreement being exchanged by their respective CMDs.
5. AAI MoU
Today marks a defining moment in India’s nation-building journey. With 1,400 International Aviation Professionals across 120 countries and 173 IAPs in India, we’re proud to be part of the global aviation community. The Airports Authority of India has signed a significant agreement with Airports Council International (ACI) for the Airports Management Professional Accreditation Program (AMPAP). This program will empower aviation leaders with the coveted International Aviation Professional (IAP) salutation upon completion.
Over the next five years, AAI will impart AMPAP training to over 115 more aviation professionals, creating a talent pipeline of globally deployable professionals who will drive innovation and excellence in the industry. This initiative will position India as a trusted leader in global aviation, shaping the future of our nation.
