BBC’s Propaganda Exposed

The story done by BBC’s Kashmiri-origin journalist Gafira Qadri about a Delhi landlord and a Kashmiri tenant seems fake or propagandistic at first glance.

When I posted about that story yesterday, I was contacted by the sister of a senior female journalist. She was saying that she herself had gone to Sukhdev Vihar to show her sister’s well-furnished house (with all necessary items available) to Gafira. The house was liked by her, and there was no issue regarding the rent at all. In fact, they didn’t even ask for an Aadhaar card. Still, Gafira didn’t take the house.

Sukhdev Vihar is a posh area in Okhla where there is a mixed population of Hindus and Muslims. Big elite people live there. So what compulsion was there that Gafira didn’t find it suitable to live there and instead made an entire story out of it?

Is it the restlessness to become famous quickly, or is BBC getting such stories done under some propaganda agenda, or is there some other matter?
