Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) has etched its name in the Guinness World Records, securing the title for “most people registered on a citizen engagement platform in one month.” On August 4, 2025, the Ministry of Education announced that the eighth edition of PPC garnered an astounding 3.53 crore valid registrations, a testament to its widespread impact and resonance. With over 21 crore viewership across media platforms, this initiative has transformed the daunting examination season into a vibrant festival of positivity, preparation, and purposeful learning.
Launched in 2018 at New Delhi’s Talkatora Stadium, PPC is an annual event where PM Modi directly engages with students, teachers, and parents, addressing exam-related stress and fostering a holistic approach to education. The initiative aligns with the vision of a Viksit Bharat—a developed India—by promoting well-being and inclusive learning. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, while receiving the Guinness certificate, hailed PPC as a national movement that redefines examinations, turning anxiety into opportunity. “The overwhelming participation reflects India’s collective commitment to empowering its youth,” he stated.
The eighth edition, held in 2025, introduced a fresh format, featuring luminaries like actor Deepika Padukone, boxing legend MC Mary Kom, and spiritual leader Sadhguru. Their presence amplified the event’s appeal, inspiring students to approach challenges with resilience and clarity. Unlike the previous year’s town hall at Bharat Mandapam, this edition embraced a dynamic, inclusive approach, engaging participants from India and abroad. PM Modi’s candid interactions, answering queries on stress management and academic pressures, have made PPC a beacon of encouragement for millions.
What sets PPC apart is its ability to unite diverse stakeholders—students, educators, and parents—in a shared mission to make learning joyful. By addressing real concerns with empathy and practical advice, the initiative has redefined the narrative around exams. As Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw noted, PPC is a unique platform that prioritizes well-being alongside academic success.
This Guinness World Record underscores not just the scale of participation but the profound trust in PM Modi’s vision. Pariksha Pe Charcha is more than an event; it’s a movement that empowers India’s youth to face challenges with confidence, transforming education into a celebration of growth and possibility.
