Shrinagar: India has always been perceived as a soft target of all kinds of terrorism. Be it, terrorism in Kashmir, the naxal movement, terrorism by fanatics of Islam and other reasons. I don’t think there is any other country across the world which might have suffered to the extent we have been exposed to. In such an environment, what does the operation Sindoor mean to us?
It becomes extremely difficult for any government to take such a bold and risky step, especially when our economy is going up, our human resource is densly populated and natural resources are certainly sparse to be evenly distributed among fellow citizens. This difficulty is further complimented when few world powers are clearly hostile and inimical to our long term goals and interests. There is clearly a need of protecting our self respect, the only virtue which is of prime importance as a nation first and an individual later. Without self respect, nothing would be left to stand on our feet, whether we are having many short term and long term goals as to become a Vishwa Guru or a developed economy in near future. All these objectives would have no meaning to realise if we are proved to be one not capable of protecting the self respect of the nation and not able to solve our problems. We would fail to stand up as a nation, what to say as an individual.
Therefore, this operation has come at a critical juncture in our timeline. It has given us a necessary impetus and a sense of confidence to find solutions to our problems ourselves. Ofcourse, we live in a global village and a rogue neighbour is also part of the extended society, yet a calibrated response was the need of the hour. The combined Defence forces have not only decided, planned but executed the Operation Sindoor with surgical precision, without any ambiguity, without any error. It was a flawless operation, it was an optimally calibrated operation. It was an operation, I don’t think any organized force on the earth would have completed with a higher degree of precision. What does this indicate ? It indicates that the seeds of realising our short term and long term goals and objectives are very much in place. It proves we have a bright future as a nation. There are other sections of the government also, whose efficiency and degree of efforts might be questionable, making us vulnerable as fellow citizens, yet there seems to have a bright line in the horizon that we can excel, we can succeed in life.
The inculcation of the sense of belonging and a sense of having a bright future is psychologically extremely important to survive. Afterall, Pakistan is proved to be a rogue state. Why? Because, they are unable to find solutions to their problems, resulting in a collapse as a nation. Our focus and scenario is contrary to theirs. And precisely this is the reason of their competition, hate and jealousy with us. Their life motto seems to be – हम तो डूबेंगे सनम, तुमको भी ले डूबेंगे। But, we are not going to drown, not going to fail on this count. We have a future and we love it. We have our targets for 2047 in front of us conceptually proposed by Prime minister of the country. We will certainly work hard to realise them.
It is said that if the target is clear, achieving success becomes easier. Operation Sindoor has made this achievement even more easy for us. Definitely yes. This is it’s main contribution for our nation.
