“Mission Arun Himveer” Arunachal Pradesh Government Signs MOU with ITBP to Boost Local Economy and Border Security

Itanagar : Agreement to Strengthen the Vibrant Village Scheme, Encourage Reverse Migration and Support Local Farmers

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed today between the Government of Arunachal Pradesh and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) at the Civil Secretariat. This partnership aims to support the Vibrant Village Scheme, bolster the local economy and enhance border security in Arunachal Pradesh.

The signing ceremony was graced by Hon’ble Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, Agriculture Minister Shri Gabriel Denwang Wangsu, Chief Secretary Shri Manish Gupta, and other senior state officials.

Under the Vibrant Village Scheme, the MOU focuses on the supply of local products—such as fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, dairy, and millet—from participating villages to ITBP units stationed across Arunachal Pradesh. The agreement was formalized by Dr. Akun Sabharwal, Inspector General of ITBP, and Shri Okit Palling, CEO of the Arunachal Pradesh Agricultural Marketing Board (APAMB).

Hon’ble Chief Minister Pema Khandu, speaking on the occasion, reiterated the government’s commitment to fostering economic growth in border regions and improving local livelihoods. Agriculture Minister Shri Gabriel Denwang Wangsu emphasized the vital role of cooperative sectors in facilitating the supply chain for this initiative.

As part of the agreement, ITBP will procure locally produced goods from villages participating in the Vibrant Village Program (VVP), with support from local cooperatives. This initiative is designed to strengthen the local economy, promote sustainable livelihoods, and enhance security along Arunachal Pradesh’s international borders.

The scheme is expected to mitigate population outflows from border villages by fostering reverse migration through better economic opportunities. Increased interaction between local communities and ITBP personnel will build social cohesion, foster trust, and instill a sense of security and belonging among residents of these remote areas.

Additionally, this MOU is projected to create numerous employment opportunities for local populations, promoting the ‘Vocal for Local’ initiative. It ensures the supply of fresh, high-quality food to ITBP soldiers while simultaneously uplifting local businesses and encouraging sustainable agricultural practices.

This partnership between the Government of Arunachal Pradesh and ITBP represents a significant step toward sustainable development in border areas. By focusing on security, economic growth, and social stability, this MOU is set to transform the region’s future, ensuring a better quality of life for the people of Arunachal Pradesh and reinforcing the nation’s borders.

Rochdale Pioneers Award of The International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) bestowed to Dr. U.S. Awasthi, MD, IFFCO.

2nd Indian to receive this award after Dr. Verghese Kurien.

Under his leadership IFFCO became the largest fertilizer producer and marketer in India and the largest cooperative globally in terms of GDP per capita.

The 2024 Rochdale Pioneers Award of ICA presented to Dr Awasthi, Managing Director of the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO). Dr Awasthi is the second Indian citizen to receive the Award, after Dr Verghese Kurien, the recipient of the 2001 Award. Established in 2000, the Rochdale Pioneers Award is the highest honour the ICA bestows. It aims to recognise, in the spirit of the Rochdale Pioneers, a person or, under special circumstances, a cooperative organisation, having contributed to innovative and financially sustainable cooperative activities that have significantly benefited their membership.

A chemical engineer, he joined IFFCO in 1976. Under his leadership, the cooperative increased its production capacity by 292% and net worth by 688%, Under his leadership IFFCO has forayed into various business sphere, diversified its business and successfully innovated and indigenously developed Nano Fertilisers for the farmers of India.

ICA President Ariel Guarco presented the award to Dr Awasthi during a special ceremony at the ICA Global Conference in New Delhi, India, on 25 November. IFFCO Ltd. is hosting the ICA General Assembly and Global Cooperative Conference 2024 in partnership with the International Cooperative Alliance and the Union Ministry of Cooperation. The event is being held at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi and will conclude on 30th November 2024.

Dr Awasthi said that, “I am humbled and honored to receive this prestigious award of ICA. This award embodies the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of “Sahkar se Samriddhi” and highlights IFFCO’s exceptional efforts under the guidance & dynamic leadership of the Hon’ble Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah. We remain dedicated to advancing their vision of elevating India’s cooperative movement on the global stage. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the International Cooperative Alliance and global cooperative fraternity for this recognition, that inspires us to uphold and advance the cooperative spirit globally.”

Dr Awasthi further said that; IFFCO championed sustainable agriculture through Nano fertilizers like Nano DAP and Nano Urea Liquid, transforming farming practices and meeting the demand for eco-friendly solutions. Locally produced Nano fertilizers tackled logistical issues, reduced import reliance, and replaced bulky packaging with compact bottles. These innovations improved soil health, boosted farmer profitability, and promoted environmentally responsible farming”. IFFCO’s new indigenously developed products Nano Urea and Nano DAP is being used by farmers happily across the nation now and the acceptance of these products are widely being accepted by farmers in each and every corner of India and some other foreign countries specially neighbouring countries and IFFCO is being approached by other foreign countries also for the supply of Nano Fertilisers and we are planning to export the Nano fertiliser to 25 more foreign countries in upcoming future.

IFFCO has achieved notable operational success, with the production of 44 lakh bottles of Nano DAP Liquid and selling over 2.04 crore bottles of Nano Urea Liquid. It conducted 80,000 field demonstrations, training over 80,000 farmers and 1,500 rural entrepreneurs. Total fertilizer production reached 88.95 lakh tons, including 48.85 lakh tons of urea and 40.10 lakh tons of NPK, DAP, WSF, and specialty fertilizers. Domestic and international sales totaled 112.26 lakh tons, further advancing organic and chemical fertilizer use.

अध्यात्म एवं विज्ञान में कोई विरोध नहीं है – डॉ. मोहन भागवत जी

नई दिल्ली: राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ के सरसंघचालक डॉ. मोहन भागवत जी ने कहा कि अध्यात्म एवं विज्ञान में कोई विरोध नहीं है। विज्ञान में भी और अध्यात्म में भी श्रद्धायुक्त व्यक्ति को ही न्याय मिलता है। अपने साधन एवं ज्ञान का अहंकार जिसके पास होता है, उसे नहीं मिलता है। श्रद्धा में अंधत्व का कोई स्थान नहीं है। जानो और मानो यही श्रद्धा है, परिश्रमपूर्वक मन में धारण की हुई श्रद्धा।

पूजनीय सरसंघचालक डॉ. मोहन भागवत जी मंगलवार को नई दिल्ली में मुकुल कानिटकर द्वारा लिखित एवं आई व्यू एंटरप्रायजेस द्वारा प्रकाशित जीवन मूल्यों पर आधारित पुस्तक ‘बनाएं जीवन प्राणवान’ के विमोचन के अवसर पर बोल रहे थे। दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय के उत्तरी परिसर में आयोजित इस पुस्तक विमोचन कार्यक्रम में पंचदशनाम जूना अखाड़ा के आचार्य महामंडलेश्वर पू स्वामी अवधेशानंद गिरि जी महाराज तथा दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति प्रो. योगेश सिंह विशिष्ट अतिथि के रूप में उपस्थित थे।

कार्यक्रम को संबोधित करते हुए मुख्य वक्ता राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ के पूजनीय सरसंघचालक डॉ. मोहन भागवत जी ने कहा कि गत 2000 वर्षों से विश्व अहंकार के प्रभाव में चला है। मैं अपने ज्ञानेन्द्रिय से जो ज्ञान प्राप्त करता हूं वही सही है उसके पर एक कुछ भी नहीं है, इस सोच के साथ मानव तब से चला है जब से विज्ञान का अदुर्भाव हुआ है। परंतु यही सब कुछ नहीं है। विज्ञान का भी एक दायरा है, एक मर्यादा है। उसके आगे कुछ नहीं, यह मानना गलत है।

उन्होंने कहा कि यह भारतीय सनातन संस्कृति की विशेषता है कि हमने बाहर देखने के साथ-साथ अंदर देखना भी प्रारंभ किया। हमने अंदर तह तक जाकर जीवन के सत्य को जान लिया। इसका और विज्ञान का विरोध होने का कोई कारण नहीं है। जानो तब मानो। अध्यात्म में भी यही पद्धति है। साधन अलग है। अध्यात्म में साधन मन है। मन की ऊर्जा प्राण से आती है। यह प्राण की शक्ति जितनी प्रबल होती है उतना ही उसे पथ पर आगे जाने के लिए आदमी समर्थ होता है।

इस अवसर पर विशिष्ट अतिथि पंचदशनाम जूना अखाड़ा के आचार्य महामंडलेश्वर पू स्वामी अवधेशानंद गिरि जी महाराज ने कहा कि प्राण का आधार परमात्मा है जो सर्वत्र है। प्राण की सत्ता परमात्मा से ही है, उसमें स्पंदन है, उसी से चेतना है, उसी से अभिव्यक्ति है, उसी से रस संचार है और वहीं जीवन है। प्राण चैतन्य होता है।

पुस्तक के लेखक श्री मुकुल कानिटकर जी ने कहा कि भारतीय संस्कृति में सब कुछ वैज्ञानिक है। आयुर्वेद, वास्तुशास्त्र, स्थापत्य के साथ ही दिनचर्या और ऋतुचर्या के सभी नियम भी बिना कारण के नहीं है। हज़ार वर्षों के संघर्षकाल में इस शास्त्र का मूल तत्व विस्मृत हो गया। वही प्राणविद्या है। सारी सृष्टि में प्राण आप्लावित है। उसकी मात्रा और सत्व-रज-तम गुणों के अनुसार ही भारत में जीवन चलता है।

विभिन्न शास्त्र ग्रंथों में दिए तत्वों को इस पुस्तक में सहज भाषा में प्रस्तुत करने का प्रयत्न हुआ है। नई पीढ़ी के मन में आनेवाले सामान्य संदेहों के शास्त्रीय कारण स्पष्ट करने में सहयोगी होगी।

नई दिल्ली। इंडियन फार्मर्स फर्टिलाइजर कोऑपरेटिव लिमिटेड (इफको) के प्रबंध निदेशक डॉ. उदय शंकर अवस्थी को प्रतिष्ठित रोशडेल पायनियर्स अवार्ड 2024 प्रदान किया गया है। डॉ. वर्गीस कुरियन के बाद यह पुरस्कार पाने वाले डॉ. अवस्थी दूसरे भारतीय हैं। डॉ. कुरियन को वर्ष 2001 में यह पुरस्कार प्रदान किया गया था। रोशडेल पायनियर्स अवार्ड इंटरनेशनल कोऑपरेटिव अलायंस (आईसीए) द्वारा दिया जाने वाला सर्वोच्च सम्मान है। इस अवार्ड की शुरुआत वर्ष 2000 में हुई थी। इसका उद्देश्य एक व्यक्ति या विशेष परिस्थितियों में एक सहकारी संगठन को मान्यता देना है, जिसने नवीन और वित्तीय रूप से टिकाऊ सहकारी गतिविधियों में योगदान दिया है जिससे उनके सदस्यों को काफी लाभ हुआ है।

केमिकल इंजीनियर डॉ. अवस्थी 1976 में इफको में नियुक्त हुए। उनके नेतृत्व में इस सहकारी संस्था ने अपनी उत्पादन क्षमता में 292% और शुद्ध संपत्ति में 688% की वृद्धि की। उनके नेतृत्व में इफको ने विभिन्न व्यावसायिक क्षेत्रों में कदम रखा है, अपने व्यवसाय में विविधता लाई है और भारत के किसानों के लिए सफलतापूर्वक नवाचार और स्वदेशी नैनो उर्वरक विकसित किया है।

आईसीए के अध्यक्ष एरियल ग्वार्को ने भारत में पहली बार आयोजित हो रहे आईसीए के वैश्विक सहकारी सम्मेलन में एक विशेष समारोह के दौरान 25 नवंबर को डॉ. अवस्थी को यह पुरस्कार प्रदान किया। इफको लिमिटेड आईसीए और केंद्रीय सहकारिता मंत्रालय की साझेदारी में आईसीए महासभा और वैश्विक सहकारी सम्मेलन 2024 की मेजबानी कर रहा है। यह सम्मेलन नई दिल्ली के भारत मंडपम में आयोजित किया जा रहा है जो 30 नवंबर, 2024 को समाप्त होगा।

पुरस्कार ग्रहण करने के बाद इफको के एमडी डॉ. उदय शंकर अवस्थी ने कहा, “मैं इस प्रतिष्ठित पुरस्कार को पाकर बेहद सम्मानित महसूस कर रहा हूं। यह पुरस्कार माननीय प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी के “सहकार से समृद्धि” के दृष्टिकोण का प्रतीक है। साथ ही यह माननीय गृह एवं सहकारिता मंत्री श्री अमित शाह के मार्गदर्शन में इफको के असाधारण प्रयासों को उजागर करता है। हम भारत के सहकारी आंदोलन को वैश्विक मंच पर मजबूती प्रदान करने के उनके दृष्टिकोण को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए समर्पित हैं। मैं इस सम्मान के लिए अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सहकारी गठबंधन (आईसीए) का हार्दिक आभार व्यक्त करता हूं, जो हमें विश्व स्तर पर सहकारी भावना को बनाए रखने और आगे बढ़ाने के लिए प्रेरित करता है।”

डॉ. अवस्थी ने कहा, “इफको ने नैनो डीएपी और नैनो यूरिया (तरल) जैसे नैनो उर्वरकों के माध्यम से टिकाऊ कृषि का समर्थन किया, कृषि पद्धतियों में बदलाव किया और पर्यावरण-अनुकूल समाधानों की मांग को पूरा किया है। स्वदेशी नैनो उर्वरकों ने लॉजिस्टिक मुद्दों से निपटने, भारत की उर्वरक आयात निर्भरता कम करने और भारी पैकेजिंग को कॉम्पैक्ट बोतलों से बदल दिया। इन नवाचारों ने मिट्टी के स्वास्थ्य में सुधार किया, किसानों की लाभप्रदता को बढ़ावा दिया और पर्यावरण की दृष्टि से जिम्मेदार खेती को बढ़ावा दिया है।“ इफको के नए स्वदेशी उत्पाद नैनो यूरिया (तरल) और नैनो डीएपी (तरल) का उपयोग अब पूरे देश के किसान खुशी से कर रहे हैं। भारत के हर कोने और कुछ अन्य देशों, विशेष रूप से पड़ोसी देशों के किसानों द्वारा व्यापक रूप से इसे स्वीकार किया जा रहा है। नैनो उर्वरकों की आपूर्ति के लिए अन्य देश भी इफको से संपर्क कर रहे हैं। भविष्य में हम 25 और देशों में नैनो उर्वरक निर्यात करने की योजना बना रहे हैं।”

इफको ने नैनो डीएपी (तरल) की 44 लाख बोतलों का उत्पादन और नैनो यूरिया (तरल) की 2.04 करोड़ से अधिक बोतलें बेचकर उल्लेखनीय परिचालन सफलता हासिल की है। इसने 80,000 क्षेत्रीय प्रदर्शन आयोजित किए, 80,000 से अधिक किसानों और 1,500 ग्रामीण उद्यमियों को प्रशिक्षण दिया। इफको का कुल उर्वरक उत्पादन 88.95 लाख टन तक पहुंच गया, जिसमें 48.85 लाख टन यूरिया और 40.10 लाख टन एनपीके, डीएपी, डब्ल्यूएसएफ और विशेष उर्वरक शामिल हैं। जबकि घरेलू और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बिक्री कुल 112.26 लाख टन रही। इससे जैविक और रासायनिक उर्वरक के उपयोग में और वृद्धि हुई है।
