Delhi : Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah inaugurated the two-day National Security Strategies Conference – 2024 in New Delhi

Prior to the inauguration, Union Home Minister laid a wreath at the Martyrs column and paid homage to the valorous martyrs who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.

In order to implement the decisions taken during the annual DGsP/IGsP Conference chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister today launched the DGsP/IGsP Conference Recommendations’ Dashboard developed by the NCRB.

In the two-day conference, the roadmap to solutions to emerging national security challenges will be chalked out with the top police leadership of states, UTs, CAPFs, and CPOs.

The idea of National Security Strategies Conference was conceived by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi during the DGsP/IGsP Conference with the objective of finding solutions to major National Security challenges through discussions amongst a unique mix of senior police leadership managing national security challenges, young police officers working at the cutting-edge level and domain experts of specialised fields. During the DGsP/IGsP Conference – 2020, the Prime Minister Modi had directed that the Conference be held in a hybrid mode for wider participation.

Over 750 officers are participating in the Conference from across the country, which is being held in a hybrid format combining physical and virtual modes. Shri Nityanand Rai and Shri Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Ministers of State for Home Affairs, Union Home Secretary Shri Govind Mohan, Additional/Deputy NSA’s and Heads of CAPFs and CPOs are attending the Conference in Delhi. DGsP of States and UTs as also young police officers at the cutting-edge level and domain experts from specialised fields joined the conference from the respective state capitals through the virtual mode.

Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare to participate in Special Campaign 4.0 from 2nd October to 31st October, 2024

Delhi : Special Campaign 4.0 has been launched by Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances (DARPG) for institutionalizing Swachhata and minimizing pendency in Government office from 2nd October to 31st October, 2024. Special Campaign 4.0 is being implemented in two (2) phases namely Preparatory Phase from 16th – 30th September, 2024 and Implementation Phase from 2nd – 31st October, 2024.

The achievement of the Department during Special Campaign 3.0 is as under:- 16 References from MPs, 4 Parliamentary Assurances, and 4 State Government References were disposed off. Besides this, 12818 Public grievances were disposed, 36823 physical files were reviewed and 16006 files were weeded out and 238 e-files were closed. Revenue of Rs. 2305945/- was generated, around 51952 Sq. ft. space freed and11299 Kg Waste was disposed during the Special Campaign 3.0.

For the Preparatory Phase, Nodal Officer of this Department has been appointed. All Divisions of this Department and all Subordinate / Attached Offices, PSU, Autonomous Bodies and Authorities under the administrative control of DA&FW have been asked to appoint their Nodal Officers and also to identify the pendency in their office as per the parameters of DARPG’s guidelines.

One VC Meeting under the Chairmanship of Joint Secretary along with Nodal Officer of Department was held with all Nodal Officers of different Divisions of the Department & its Attached & Subordinate Offices etc.They were requested to identify and furnish the targets, during the preparatory phase, regarding cleanliness sites, space management, disposal of scrap & redundant items, disposal of references from MPs, State Governments, Inter-Ministerial references, Parliament Assurances, PMO References, Public Grievances and its Appeals, and Record Management, etc. for the Preparatory Phase.

The Implementation Phase will be started from 2nd October, 2024 and sincere and dedicated efforts will be made to achieve the given targets identified in Preparatory Phase for Special Campaign 4.0 in respect of all Divisions/field and outstation offices under the administrative control of DA&FW.

Coal Ministry Set to Launch Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2024

Delhi : As envisioned by the Government of India, the Ministry of Coal along with Coal India Limited (CIL) and its Subsidiaries, NLCIL, CCO, CMPFO is all set to drive the Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) Campaign 2024, with several impactful activities aimed at promoting cleanliness and community engagement (Jan Bhagidari).

In preparation for the official launch of the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2024, which will commence from 14th to 16th September 2024 with the theme ‘Swabhav Swachhata – Sanskaar Swachhata’, the Ministry will begin with an office-wide Swachhata Pledge. This will be followed by the installation of banners, standees, and digital displays at key locations to promote the campaign. These are aimed to raise awareness and encourage public participation.

Additionally, the campaign will be promoted across social media platforms to reach a broader outreach and motivate community action.

On 17th September 2024, the Ministry of Coal will officially launch the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign, with a target of organizing 1000 events across the coal bearing states. Over 10 lakh individuals are expected to take part in various activities.

The key activities planned for the launch day includes

Plantation and Cleanliness Drives: Under the theme ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’, the Ministry, in collaboration CIL and its CPSEs, NLCIL, CCO, CMPFO with PSUs, will conduct tree-planting and cleanliness activities nationwide.

Sampoorna Swachhata Drive: Large-scale cleanliness drives will focus on public assets such as water bodies, roads, and railway stations, with public contributions through Shramdaan will be encouraged.

Through this campaign, the Ministry of Coal aims to make a tangible impact on the environment and community spaces, promoting the importance of cleanliness and community participation in line with the vision of a cleaner and greener India.

Ministry of Food Processing Industries to participate in Special Campaign 4.0 from 2nd – 31st October 2024 for promoting Swachhta and Reducing Pendency

Delhi : With the objective of disposal of pending matters and promoting Swachhata, the Ministry of Food Processing Industries is scheduled to participate in the Special Campaign 4.0 from 2nd October till the 31st October 2024, with the preparatory phase for the campaign starting on 16th September 2024.

The Ministry of Food Processing Industries has made significant progress with the accomplishments of Special Campaign 3.0, disposing off pending matters and Swachhata during 02nd – 31st October, 2023 with the objective of institutionalizing Swachhata and reducing pendency in Government offices.

Apart from the Ministry, both Autonomous Bodies (NIFTEM Kundli and NIFTEM Thanjavur), under purview of this Ministry, also participated in the campaign.

In preparation for this nationwide initiative, from November, 2023 to August 2024 the Ministry identified and disposed various pending issues, including about 30 references from Members of Parliament/ VIPs, 413 public grievances, 7000 square feet of space freed and revenue of Rs.2,80,000/- generated from scrap disposal.

The Ministry, now gearing up for the Special Campaign 4.0, has committed to promoting a clean and waste-free India through a pledge administered to all its officials. Secretary (FPI) has urged senior officials to strive for the successful attainment of targets during the campaign. Similar to the Swachhata Campaign, the Ministry of Food Processing Industries has also instructed  its autonomous bodies for active participation in this nationwide campaign.
