Glimpses from the opening day of the National School of Drama’s Three-Year Diploma Students’ Foreign Input Programme

Delhi : Presented in collaboration with GITIS International, Russian Theatre Institute, the inaugural performances featured *The Courtyard as a Vanishing Species* written by Elena Isaeva, directed by Natalya Shurganova, and *Storm* written by Alexander Ostrovsky, directed by Alexander Khukhlin.


The opening performances were graced by Madame Diana Alipova, spouse of the Russian Ambassador to India, and Ms. Yulia Aryaeva, Counselor (Culture), Embassy of the Russian Federation in India. The programme was inaugurated by Shri Chittaranjan Tripathy, Director, National School of Drama.

The Foreign Input Programme offers NSD’s final-year students an opportunity to work with international theatre practitioners and engage with diverse theatrical traditions and creative approaches. The collaboration with GITIS International further strengthens avenues for artistic exchange and learning between India and Russia.
