Bengaluru : On 12th International Day of Yoga, Sadhguru, Founder – Isha Foundation, said, “Twelve years as you know is an approximate solar cycle. So we completed one cycle of this International Yoga Day. It’s time to pitch it up so that nobody in this world goes without knowing that there are ways to fix themselves.”
Emphasizing the true purpose of yoga, Sadhguru said, “What we call as yoga is not a philosophy, is not an ideology, not a belief system, not a religion, nor definitely it is not about twisting and turning your body as a lot of people seem to understand.” He described yoga as a reminder that “as there is a science and technology for external well-being, there is a whole science and technology for inner well-being.”

He stressed that many of the challenges faced by humanity stem from a lack of understanding of the fundamental basis of human experience. “Human experience happens from within us. If we want to bring human experience to its full potential, ‘IN’ is the only way out. This needs to happen. This is the fundamental goal of yoga.”
Marking the occasion, Isha Foundation conducted nearly 1,000 free yoga and meditation sessions across India, reaching an estimated 50,000 participants from corporates, educational institutions, medical establishments, government bodies, defense organizations and community spaces. Participants were introduced to simple yogic practices and meditation tools designed to support physical health, mental wellbeing and overall quality of life.
At the Isha Yoga Center Coimbatore, more than 700 people participated in the International Day of Yoga celebrations, including 500 students from the Young Indians Coimbatore Chapter and 200 personnel from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). At Sadhguru Sannidhi Bengaluru, more than 2,500 participants, including NCC cadets, Border Security Force personnel, students, villagers, volunteers and members of the public, came together for yoga and meditation sessions in the presence of Adiyogi.

On the occasion of International Day of Yoga, six new languages – Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Bangla, Italian and Nepali were added to Sadhguru’s free guided meditation app, Miracle of Mind, expanding access to the seven-minute meditation practice for people across diverse linguistic communities worldwide.
